File before the settlement (Human Rights)

The Sultanate confirmed its support for the efforts of the Palestinian movement in the United Nations about the international recognition of Palestinian state with full sovereignty .. Believing that the Arab initiative for peace and calling for international efforts for peace is the most appropriate way to end the conflict on a basis to end the occupation and to achieve the legitimate objectives of the
Palestinian people to return Arab territories occupied since 1967 and the establishment of an independent Palestinian state with its capital in East Jerusalem.

This came in a speech delivered by the Sultanate's Ambassador Yahya bin Salem Al Wahaibi representative of the Sultanate's Permanent Representative to the United Nations in Geneva in the 19 session of the Human Rights Council, the seventh item on the situation of human rights in Palestine and the occupied Arab territories.
His Excellency said that the Sultanate calls for the international community to take all actions and measures necessary to stop the Israeli aggression and systematic work on the return of Palestinian refugees to their homes and remove all Israeli settlements illegal and illegitimate.
And invites the Council to establish an international mechanism to monitor and follow up and assess the implications of the settlement on the political and civil rights, economic, cultural and social development of the Palestinian people.
