Trying desperately to protect Israel (Camp David) and Egypt require commitment

Tel Aviv, Cairo and agencies: Israel seemed in a desperate for the protection of the peace agreement with Egypt (Camp David) and the day after a statement to the Egyptian Prime Minister Essam Sharaf said: that the treaty is not something sacred, and Egypt said it is bound by the treaty as long as committed by the other party (the letter and spirit)

An Israeli official said: The Israeli Foreign Ministry summoned the Egyptian ambassador to Israel, to emphasize the importance of the peace treaty. An Israeli official said on condition of anonymity: The Director-General Rafi Barak, the Israeli Foreign Ministry informed the Egyptian Ambassador Yasser Reda that treaties must be respected to the letter.
For her part, the Egyptian Foreign Ministry of Egypt to respect its international obligations and its commitment to the Egyptian-Israeli peace treaty, "as long as the other party committed to its commitments in letter and spirit."
The statement quoted the Egyptian Foreign Ministry source as a ministry official as saying that Egypt's ambassador to Israel, met with officials in the Israeli Foreign Ministry at their request, which they expressed concern about the events that occurred in the vicinity of their embassy in Cairo on Friday and its repercussions on the Egyptian-Israeli relations.
The source added that Israeli officials asked for clarification of what was attributed to some Egyptian officials on the peace treaty signed between the two sides, expressing hope that the Egyptian side, helping them in their embassy in Cairo to resume working normally.
The ministry said in a statement: "In this context, Egypt affirms what has already been announced by the respect for international obligations and principles of international law and its commitment to the content of the agreements signed, including the Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations and the Egyptian-Israeli peace, as long as committed to the other party its commitments in letter and spirit" .
The Egyptian Prime Minister had said in an interview with Turkish Channel: The peace treaty with Israel is not something sacred and always open for discussion or change if it is in the interest of the region and promotes peace.
