Killing of a Saudi diplomat in Pakistan


Islamabad and agencies: police said the Pakistani and the Saudi ambassador to Pakistan said that the gunmen riding two motorcycles attacked a vehicle belonging to the Consulate of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in the Pakistani city of Karachi, killing a Saudi diplomat in an attack claimed by the Pakistani Taliban claimed responsibility. The shooting took place just days after the dumping of unknown grenades at the Saudi consulate in the city itself.
The UN Secretary-General of the Cooperation Council, Dr. Abdul Latif Al Zayani the incident, stressing that "this criminal attack is a violation of international norms relating to diplomatic missions. "
